Turn this into a cutlist, costing, selling price.

Pro100 with Excel is excellent for not only creating a cutlist but also costing and pricing.

Pro100 creates these files.

  • CutList - cabinet list.txt
  • CutList - material consumption.txt
  • CutList - Parts list.txt
  • CutList.csv used by Excel or other spreadsheets.

You can turn CutList.csv into CutList.xls from there you can do almost anything you want with the data.

Included in the zip file is a template file called CutList.xlt.  This is the same spreadsheet but as a template that you can use to import CutList.csv file.  That way you do not have to create all the different worksheets and formulas. Excel's extension for a template is .xlt. After you import your data you then save the spreadsheet with a .xls extension.

Download CutList.zip  Place the folder Cutlist on your desk top to view the contents.

One end result using fomula 1/3 material, 1/3 labor, 1/3 overhead then a markup.

Here is just one example of what you can do with the data from this Pro100 Job.  This is the end result that I came up with, based on my experience of setting up costing for hundreds of cabinet shops.  Download the files and look at them.

Please call after you download and open the spreadsheet and I will be more then happy to discus it with you.

There are many ways to figure selling price and P100 can do all of them if you have some kind of formula.  For instance I have see some people priced based on the square feet of the fronts on the cabinets.  No problem for Pro100.

I just like to do all my pricing based on cost.  Too much can be lost if you just have a pricing formula not based on cost.
