New Updates in Details
1. Commenting and Printing Options
We have some fantastic news for our PRO100 software users in North America! One of the most requested features is here, and we couldn't be more thrilled to share it with you. Adding comments to your drawings can be crucial for collaboration and clarity.
Pro100 allows you to add or hide comments on your designs and print them in your preferred color. This feature enhances communication between team members and ensures that everyone is on the same page. For a while now, many of our users have been creatively using the text function or navigating to the "Advanced" section under an element’s properties to add notes.
While this method worked, we knew there was room for improvement. This version includes a robust note-taking feature that lets you add comments in your favorite font color, making your shop drawings even more tailored and professional before sharing them with clients or colleagues.
How to Use the New Feature
Activating this feature is straightforward:
- Navigate to the "View" drop-down menu to turn the comments function on or off.
- Hover over the default left-side toolbar next to the "New Element" or "Color Picker" icon.
- Click and drag next to the object where you want to add a comment.
One of the standout aspects of this new feature is its versatility:
- Layer Integration: Just like layers, you can control the visibility of your comments. This means you can display selected comments while hiding others, depending on your needs.
- Customizable Font Colors: Personalize your notes by choosing different font colors to make your comments stand out.

2. Customizable Display Window Preferences
Pro100 recognizes that different stages of a project require different focuses. You can configure the display window preferences based on your project stage, ensuring you have the most relevant tools and views accessible. This flexibility streamlines your workflow, allowing you to work more efficiently and effectively.
3.Texture mapping and changing direction of the edges
This handy feature saves you time and quickly gives your designs a fresh look. You can easily randomize the texture mapping of an object by just right click and select "randomize. Also if you go to texture properties, there are additional attributes you can adjust to change the direction of the edges.
4. Surface Smoothing for Imported Objects
Imported objects often come with imperfections that can disrupt the aesthetics of your design. With the correct orientation settings in Pro100, you can smoothen the surfaces of imported objects. This attention to detail ensures that every element of your design is polished and professional.
5.New and Improved Texture Editing - Enhanced Functionality
Remember how you could clone materials and rename them in previous versions of Pro100? With Version 7, we’ve taken it a step further. Now, you can not only clone materials but also open and edit them to perfectly match your specifications.
With just a click of your mouse, you can open any texture in your library for editing. Simply use the "Open" command to launch the texture in your preferred photo or picture editing program. We highly recommend using PAINT.NET for opening and modifying your JPG files. Edit the texture, hit save, and see the changes immediately reflected in your material library.
But that's not all. The new version allows you to:
- Open Texture Location: Easily access the location of your textures by opening the folder.
- Copy and Paste Properties: Transfer material properties from one texture to another effortlessly. Just use the "Copy Properties" and "Paste Properties" options.
Version 7 gives you unprecedented control over your textures and materials, making it easier than ever to bring your creative vision to life. Whether you're designing a new kitchen layout or creating custom cabinetry, Pro100’s new features ensure your materials look exactly the way you want them to.
6. Layers Tool Menu.
The Layers Tool in Pro100 offers unmatched flexibility and control for your design projects. Like other essential tools such as the catalog, lathe, and replace functions, the Layers Tool can be docked for easy access. But that's not all—we’ve supercharged its capabilities to bring more power to your fingertips.
Modifying a finished project has never been easier. By hiding unnecessary elements, you can streamline your workflow and concentrate on what needs attention. This functionality is particularly beneficial for interior designers and kitchen remodelers who often work on complex, multi-layered
Another powerful feature is the ability to restrict movement using the arrow icon located in the middle of the "eye" and + sign. This feature allows you to lock elements in place, ensuring that nothing shifts unintentionally while you're working. This is perfect for DIY enthusiasts and cabinet makers who require precision in their projects.
Whether you’re adding new layers or modifying existing ones, the Layers Tool provides you with the flexibility you need. Create new parts effortlessly and manage them with ease. This tool is a game-changer for Pro100 software users looking to enhance their productivity and accuracy.
Key Takeaways:

Each layer defined in this way (and therefore the elements assigned to it) can be independently assigned: invisible,
non-clickable
, and non-movable.
Layer management:
Adding a new layer (the highest in the hierarchy),
adding a sublayer for the selected layer
, deleting a layer (assigned elements are moved to the design layer),
renaming,
assigning elements to the selected layer ,
deleting the

. Layers can represent different rooms, types of furniture, or groups of component parts (e.g., fittings) of such furniture.
How they use this tool's capabilities is entirely up to the designer.
7. The Camera (Located at the lower right corner)
In the latest update, the camera tool has received a noteworthy enhancement. While the core functionality remains intact, you'll be excited to discover that you can now lock the camera scene based on different views. Whether you're in Perspective, Axonometry, Plan, or the North, West, South, or East elevation, you can easily lock these settings via the option in the lower-left corner of your interface. Take some time to explore this new feature and see how it can improve your workflow.
8. Auto Hide
This is a new feature added on the "Tools" menu. Hiding sectional view or display on your drawing is made easier.First you can go ahead and dock it like any other tool if you plan to use it regularly. This is functional from back, front, left, right, bottom and top depending on what you are trying to do. You can hide elements moved from camera center and flat projection. That is not all, you can define shadows by showing or editing. There are also options to determine how you want to hide your objects or elements as desired.
9. Enhanced 3D Rendering using Kray
The latest version 7 of Pro100 takes 3D rendering to the next level. With advanced tools, it produces sharper and more photorealistic images, giving you a clearer and more detailed view of your designs. This feature is particularly beneficial when presenting your ideas to clients or stakeholders, as it allows them to visualize the final product more vividly.
10. Pro100 Lighting & Image Color Density
Direction and map visibility control can be performed by adding your own maps. You change the lighting effect by sliding the "spheremap" from left to right or back. Adjust the density of the denoise effect which determines the amount of light with respect to the distance from the camera.
We are confident that this new version will significantly enhance your workflow and make your project presentations more seamless and visually appealing.
